Making His Band

So Making His Band premiered last night on MTV. As you all know I love Making The Band, but I wasn't too sure about how I felt about watching Diddy during his creative process. I am not too fond of him as an artist but I love to watch him as a business man. It was pretty cool to see a more humbling side of Diddy. That side of him is rarely shown because most of the time he is not the artist, he is the music mogul so he is in MOGUL MODE. I have to honestly say that I am excited about this show. I already have my band picked lol but I can't wait to see how the show unfolds. I can be a very competitive person, so sometimes it excites me to watch other people competing. I love to see people who will not stop until they get what they want. That is the ultimate motivation. If you see people out there on their grind you get your act together go after what you want.
I am also excited to hear music from the group Dirty Money (Diddy, Dawn, Keleena). He is so confident in his new style of music he has created and when you are excited and passionate about what you do it trickles down to those who support you. If you are not excited about what you are doing you can't expect other people to be carry that same emotion. I am not too big on reality shows, but I definitely have this on the season pass lol. I can't wait for the rest of the season. The talent on this show is pure amazing!!! The violinist is sick! Jamareo and Joy are my favorites, even Brockett is pretty cool, the SHIM scares me though. I will be tuned in next Monday at 10, will you?

Tiny and Toya

Where do I begin....
Tiny & Toya premiered yesterday at 10pm. As much as I hate "reality" shows, I had to tune in. I understand that both Tiny and Toya had rough lives, but I don't appreciate how they portray black women. They are being portrayed as uneducated females who rely on men for their survival. They don't seem strong or empowered, its like they depend on Wayne and T.I. for life. I believe you cannot put your livelihood or happiness in the hands of others. The only person that you can trust with that is God, but that's an entirely different postEveryone that knows me, know that I am a borderline feminist lol. I am all for empowering females, and I am not trying to bash Tiny or Toya, but for them to be representatives of Black Women, they need to understand the power that they have at the moment and try to change the stereotypical views of black females from the "ghetto." I'm from one of the "ghettoest"parts of Brooklyn but no one would no because of how I carry myself. People call me bougie, but just because I speak proper English (at times lol) and just because I am not easily amused by the bufoonery that goes on in the ghetto that doesn't make me bougie. I knew growing up I wanted more than what Brownsville had to offer me and so I was determined to become the opposite of what I saw. Don't get it twisted though, the Brownsville will come out of me in a heartbeat, but I try to keep that side undercontrol lol. Tiny and Toya probably fell victim to their "hoods" but it is never too late to change, because you don't have to accept what you've been accustomed too. When Tiny said she wanted to work but T.I. didn't want her too, I wanted to jump t hrough the TV and shake her! He should not have that type of control over you! While he is out doing God knows what with God knows who, you are at home with your kids and Toya looking ridiculous.
There is a lot more that I can say about this show, but I would need a book. I am going to watch the entire season to see how they transform into women who do not need to rely on their successful spouses to make a living, but I really want BET to rethink what they show on TV that represent black people, women in particualr, as a whole. I give them credit for doing this show because it is not easy being vulnerable and under constant scrutiny, but ladies get a speech coach and learn how to enunciate. That would make a big difference. I hope the message that they are trying to get across is not misconstrued by the young black females in today's society. Having a baby at 14 is not easy and having a baby by a person that is incarcerated is not easy either. Girls today should look at Tiny and Toya and see that they are now trying to start life anew and they are well in their 20s and possibly 30s (Tiny). Hopefully they confuse the message with trying to get pregnant by a rapper so they can get Louis Vuitton bags and drive around in a Honda Accord. Let's see where the rest of the season goes.

Do You Have Love For RayJ?

As much as I didn't want to get attached to this show, I did. The reunion aired Monday night,(kinda corny). I wasn't too excited about the winner but he was looking for someone who'd accept his crap, not the strong woman he claimed to be searching for. Nonetheless, Cocktail won, Danger claimed to be pregnant, which she later denied & might have an upcoming reality show...so it's rumored. A little secret, shhhh there's suppose to be a, For the Love of RayJ 2 in the works, guess him & Cocktail didn't make it after all...stay tuned!
Cocktail wins!
She claims they don't talk everyday but do manage to text, & see each other twice a month.

Expecting... Dream Baby?

Looks like someone got knocked up before walking down the aisle...lol. J. Hud is going to be a Mommy. The one-time "American Idol" star, who went on to wow audiences in" Dreamgirls" & received an Oscar for it, is said to be expecting her first child with her fiance, former "I love New York" contestant David "Punk"Otunga. They are expecting to tie the knot this summer.~Ms.Francois

'Top Model or a Nobel?'

According to poll results released yesterday by Oxygen Media, 25 % of women ages 18 to 34 would rather win "America's Next Top Model" than a Nobel Peace Prize, & 25% would rather be thin than smart. Seriously, this isn't cute at all & it displays just how desparate the quest to "BEAUTIFUL" society has become.

Daddy's Girls

Daddy's Girls Vanessa and Angela Simmons definitely looked fly for the Grammy's, but is it just me or is Daddy's Girls [the show] toO scripted. It doesn't seem like "reality." They have the most random ideas and random situations...It was a cute episode last night, but I prefer Run's House any day!

Reverend Run's sound effects are the funniest!

51 Minds-the same people who brought us Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, I Love Money, I Love New York, and all of the other ridiculous, yet hilarious shows on VH1 is back. This time, Ray J is looking for a new video partner {LOL} He is searching for his new boo [what happened to Whitney?] For the Love of Ray J premieres on VH1 February 2 at 10:30. Nothing original, he gives them nicknames they live in what seems like the same house as the other shows, but I'll watch just to see what foolishness Ray J gets himself into.

Daddy's Girls!

So I am HUUUGGGEEEE Fan of Run’s House…The Simmons Family is probably one of the funniest families on TV right now. Well there isn’t a new season of Run’s House :-( but there is a little twist this season. Angela and Vanessa share their experiences and adventures in LA without their daddy! This should be interesting!
