Garbage Pick-Up

Christian Louboutin Takes Out the Trash.
Christian Louboutin has designed a Trashy version of his famous 140mm Peep Toe Pumps. Interestingly enough the materials are made up of a selection of Barney's used materials, leaving each & every shoe utterly unique. Although they are a whopping $995, it doesn't stop me from wishing they were on my shoe rack!

Candy Coated

Brian Atwood
In a variety of enticing candy colors, Brian Atwood's goodies look very tasty...that is until you check the price tag. They're about $700 a pop, totally not in my back to school bugdet.
Nonetheless they are very nice to look at!

Fiel's Great

Oh my goodness, it's already the second day of August, which means we're already approaching the end of Summer...WAIT, Not before my Flip Flop search has ended...Because Flip-Flops are a summer staple, wearing a flimsy rubber pair can make your feet & legs throb, especially when you walk fast & hard like I do, (my older sister April tells me that all the time). SOLUTION.... Fun & flirty Fiel Flip Flops. The handmade leather shoes are lined with memory foam to support your arches & ease pressure on your foot muscles... Fiels Great!
Post-stilettos, Heal your Heels in Fiels!

These are my pick, they look like they'd go with most of my Summer wardrobe

Celebs Eva Langoria Parker & Heidi Klum love & live in Fiel's Flip flops on there down time...I'm not saying you should follow in their FOOTSTEPS, literally, but I'm just sayin, is all :)

Nicecelly

My older sister is very Afro-centric & always pairs her style with a unique & interesting piece. She is always looking for a fresh designer that will bring their uniqueness but also include that Afro-centric type of vibe. I ran across a designer that totally filled the slot... Check out Nicelly designs

Ring Blouse Paired with Flow skirt
I love the way this is paired especially because I'm not usually a fan of black & blue together, sometimes it works but sometimes it can become scary:(

Raglan Sleeve "Pon" Jacket (indigo)
This jacket is very cute & I love the pattern....oh yeah, I almost forgot, it's reversible too, come on, it doesn't get any better than that!
Comma Dress
Which one to pick?...if I had to I'd choose, I'd pick the first one, it reminds me of leopard prints. This also looks like the perfect, secret tummy hider too!
Minninightie Bag & Celly's Mat Bag
Zoom in real close to the second bag, Celly's Mat Bag is an unraveling ear of corn, so unique, definately a very interesting clutch.

Fall in love, like I did with these comfy, yet girly fashions at NICELLY.COM for for info.

Recession Denim

Ok now you guys now this is where you come to get the exclusives on what's hot in fashion. Well we introduce to you,
RECESSION DENIM.
Keep it trendy, keep it classic + keep them forever.
New York, NY--- July 2009 --- Amidst the economic chaos, in September of 2008 creator/entrepreneur Daniella Siri, 25, set out to establish a premium-quality denim brand that offered irresistibly trendy, yet classic denim without the premium price tag. Thus Recession Denim was born.
Recession Denim is made with the mindset, "we're in a recession thus the only jeans we need are the ones that always look great and will last a lifetime," says Daniella. Although the economic recession lingers, each pair of Recession Denim is made to outlast the hard times, so that you look good no matter what. Piece by piece, with quality, comfort + love, the Recession Brand team strives to help rebuild a strong + prosperous new world, one full of peace + tranquility.

In June 2009 Jaslene Gonzalez winner of America's Next Model became the new spokes model for the Recession Denim 2009 campaign. Jaslene embodies all things that Recession Denim stands for.

Each pair represents a different personality. I can see myself rocking the Motorcycle Blue with a killer vest, simple tee and a fly pair of cut out booties. I would have to bring out the killer platforms for the InkBlues....I putting so many looks together in my head right now. So ladies, you can stick to the usual name brands, but this is your chance for the exclusives! I'll be visiting Atrium very soon!

Stay Up...

Ok Ladies,
I sometimes hate wearing sleeveless and/or strapless shirts because strapless bras can be a little annoying. You have to be very careful with your movement sometimes because you don't want in accidents or any type of spillage. So while on the internet, going to my usual sites, I stumbled upon this....Jaclyn Paige Designer Bra Straps
I think they are pretty cool. They add a totally different look to an outfit and it is not tacky like those clear straps (clear plastic is just as bad as the actual bra...they have backless bras now...weird I know)
According to the website they are handmade and can hold more than 25lbs of pressure. They are guaranteed not to break. Sounds like a good idea right?

There are 16 different styles you can choose from that should compliment almost any outfit.

They are reasonably priced considering the types of stones used (Swarvoski crystals and pearls). Only "the best" beads are selected to give you the best quality. They run from about $57-$129.
Would you rock these to spice up your LBD?

Afro-Punk 2009: Designer Edition

So Sunday was the last day of the Afro-Punk festival celebrating the eclectic essence of African music, film, food, fashion, with a punk rock edge! Sunday was the block party and I hit the streets with my homegirl Shelly! Sorry there were no pictures of us but we got some great shots of merchandise from some great vendors. So check out a few pics of the fashion and designers.
Ok so I bought this shirt from "Cut It Out Apparel" because I believe in the message and PacMan is one of my favorite games EVERRR! The PacMan is eating and destroying "HO, BITCH, SKEEZA, SHAWTY, SKANK, and MA"

The back says GAME OVER....guys its a wrap for those "terms of endearment!" Treat us with the RESPECT we deserve and address us appropriately. I LOVE this line because it promotes healthy self-esteem for women. We need to understand that we are worth more!!! Female empowerment through fashion....I LOVE IT! Stay tuned for more features of CUT IT OUT until then check out http://www.cutitoutapparel.com/

A few months ago I was in Harlem and actually met the owner and designer, Chanel of "Junk Prints." Her style is so unique! From accessories, to pillows, to wallets, to dresses, to shirts, and buttons she does it all! Below you see a chain which says "The American Dream" made out of old vinyl records! Can you say D-O-P-E!!!!
Here is one of her unique bags.
Another chain "Visionary" made out of vinyls and a chain representing "NYC" She also has vinyl chains for each borough!
I think this is one of my favorite pieces....the Big Man Bag...so FLY!
Here are some pillows with the Junk Prints Mascots...I love the one with the swoop lol http://www.junkprints.com/
Ok so here is a line by two young black males from Brooklyn! Flatbush to be exact....(shout out to Brownsville...lol) The line is called "Devosh" which means "Uniqueness within us" I love it!
I love to see young black men doing positive things! They have some really fly shirts so KidRobot and you other people look out for these two here.
The men behind Devosh Jonathan, 21 and Douglass 22 http://www.devosh.com/
Ok the next few shirts are from "I Luv Black People" and I really do! We are just so unique, creative, versatile, just fly overall! The shirt below "The Soul Clap" which conveniently comes in all of the colors of the organizations in the DIVINE NINE...shout out to ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY, INC. :-) Too bad they didn't have any smalls.

Pieces of Brooklyn

This past Sunday, Vanderbilt Ave. in Brooklyn had a little block party. Many of the little shops and restaurants displayed their finest in food and clothing for people in the community. One of the boutiques on Vanderbilt Ave. "Pieces of Brooklyn" held a fashion show and here are some of the looks.
Not a really good shot, but the shorts were cute
Simple and Chic
The bag was fab...so was the dress...I would so rock this in emerald green or royal blue
Classic with a bit of an edge

The blouse was fabulous
Marie and I are suckers for hidden pockets
This dress comes in many different patterns...I'm sure you will be able to find one that suits you
This has my name written all over it!!
There goes those pockets

Marie and I were very impressed with the fashion show. The pieces were gorgeous. Some things are a little pricey, but there are always sales and other deals so it may fit your budget. Check out Pieces of Brooklyn it will definitely be a unique experience.
