Jay-Z: Blueprint 3 and Run This Town video

This is the track listing for "Blueprint 3"

This album is going to be crazy! His features are ridiculous. Jay has spent quite some time crafting this album so I know it is going to be another classic! He is not even concerned with record sales either, having his album drop on a Friday. Well I'll wait patiently for
September 11, 2009 to come. Until then check the video for

"Run This Town" featuring Kanye West and Rihanna

I'm glad we are getting back to making videos instead of just using a green screen and butt naked women. It takes a Veteran to bring back real music and not conform to what's trendy. This is why he is the best!

Guilty Pleasure

Guilty Pleasure- something one considers pleasing despite feeling bad about enjoying it.
I am sad to say what my current guilty pleasure is.

Did you figure it out? Yessssss it is "LOL SMILEY FACE" Trey Songz feat. Gucci Mane and Souljah Boy. *embarrassed*

When I first heard this song I was so disappointed in Trey. I said how could he be apart of such trash, but then the same day that I heard it I went home singing it. I tried so hard to hate this song, but the catchy hook and beat lured me in. Don't get me wrong, the song is very clever, but This is so not music! How do you make a song about emoticons, text/web acronyms, and TwitPics? "Go to my page and follow if you got a body like a coke bottle" I am not a fan of Gucci Mane at all and so that made it even worse. I will not address Deandre (Souljah Boy). When I hear the song in my car, I turn it up so loud and if I'm at a red light I'm seriously dancing...smh. What has happened to me? What has happened to the music industry? We all have guilty pleasures so don't judge me LOL :-)

I guess anything goes now, but I better not hear a song about SMH or TTYL Then I would flip.

R. Keri Baaaaaby!

I think Trey Songz remix of D.O.A. was a great wake-up call for Kells!

This is a hot track! This is the R. Kelly that I know...not the Zoro with the gimmicks...smh

When The Money Goes

Fabolous and Jay-Z team up for the "When The Money Goes" video

Two of my favorite rappers. This was a real video. It had a story line that actually fit the song. This is definitely one of my favorite tracks on "Loso's Way" The song captures the essence of what true love and friendship is. "When the money goes, will the honey's stay. When the gray clouds replace the sunny days." We all face many trials and tribulations in life, but you know who is really down for you and has your back when you reach a road block. You see who will stick it out with you and help you get over that obstacle and you will see the person that will try to hold you back and prevent you from prevailing. This song goes beyond money....

I'm not sure if their beginning conversation was natural or scripted but this line right here... "Sometimes the best way to see a person is when you're not looking at them. If you look at them they are gonna be on their best behavior..." Man if that isn't the truth I don't know what is. Simple things like that show why Jay-Z is the best in the rap game.

What are your thoughts?

The Carters: New Music and Videos

The Carters must be one of the hardest working couples in the entertainment industry. I love that no matter how busy they get they always make a way to spend QT together. Some couples don't have that balance and they do so maybe that's why the've been going so strong for so long. Other couples take note! Mrs. Carter recently released a new single "Poison" and Jay released a snippet of "Run this Town" check the videos below

I love this track from Bey. She really knows how to connect with her female audience and I'm pretty sure a lot of us have been introduced and fallen for some "Poison" good thing I didn't die! lol
OK so when the video drops I'm just waiting for more of Jay-Z and the free masons and the illuminati, devil worshiping, and NWO talk. People kill me with this. I just sit back and laugh and enjoy the music.

Sky's The Limit

Nicole & Natalie, better known as Nina Sky, are more than just the "Move Your Body" girls from Queens we met in 2004.

Edgy hair cuts, tattoo sleeves, piercings and rockstar attitudes show that these two young ladies have gone through a metamorphosis during the last 5yrs and are now in a class of their own.
They have definitely evolved musically and I really like their new single "Beautiful People."
Its refreshing...just good music that makes you want to party. That is one thing that is lacking in the music industry...good, clean, fun, party music

Their sound is very electro-pop- reminds me of 80s pop party music. The music will definitely make you dance (not grind...leave that to Sexy Spec)
Their sophomore album "Starting Today" is scheduled to drop this October!

New look, new music, change is a good thing...

Loso's Way

I think Fabolous is one of the most underrated artists in the music industry! He is definitely one of my favorite rappers and I think Fab killed it on this album. Check his new video for "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere"

Making His Band

So Making His Band premiered last night on MTV. As you all know I love Making The Band, but I wasn't too sure about how I felt about watching Diddy during his creative process. I am not too fond of him as an artist but I love to watch him as a business man. It was pretty cool to see a more humbling side of Diddy. That side of him is rarely shown because most of the time he is not the artist, he is the music mogul so he is in MOGUL MODE. I have to honestly say that I am excited about this show. I already have my band picked lol but I can't wait to see how the show unfolds. I can be a very competitive person, so sometimes it excites me to watch other people competing. I love to see people who will not stop until they get what they want. That is the ultimate motivation. If you see people out there on their grind you get your act together go after what you want.
I am also excited to hear music from the group Dirty Money (Diddy, Dawn, Keleena). He is so confident in his new style of music he has created and when you are excited and passionate about what you do it trickles down to those who support you. If you are not excited about what you are doing you can't expect other people to be carry that same emotion. I am not too big on reality shows, but I definitely have this on the season pass lol. I can't wait for the rest of the season. The talent on this show is pure amazing!!! The violinist is sick! Jamareo and Joy are my favorites, even Brockett is pretty cool, the SHIM scares me though. I will be tuned in next Monday at 10, will you?

Sweet Dream or a Beautiful Nightmare?

Beyonce does it again. I love this video. It is much better than Ego! I guess I love it so much because this is my favorite song on the CD. It was definitely my ringtone for months...smh...don't judge me. I'm glad she got rid of the leotards, but the concept is cool.

What do you think?

Anticipation

Trey Songz does not get the credit he deserves. He has to be the most underrated male R&B artist out. He is consistent and has so many hits. He has to be one of the hardest working men in R&B with Mixtape after Mixtape. Well today at 12:30...yessss I was up lol...Trey Songz released his new mixtape "Anticipation" via his blog See Further Than I Am here is what he had to say

"Many of you may ask, Why ANTICIPATION? Well lets break it down shall we:

An⋅tic⋅i⋅pa⋅tion [an-tis-uh-pey-shuhn] -noun
1. realization in advance, intuition; foretaste.
2. Musically - a tone introduced in advance of its harmony so that it sounds against the preceding chord.

Musically, I'm currently in a creative space like no other. I feel as though whenever a mic is put in front of me, I can do no wrong. At a time in the music industry where album sales are low, fans are fickle, inconsistent, or more into the various songs than they are the particular artist, I feel that I must give u a reason to love me. Embed in you a desire to love me and an appreciation for the music. I must show you that not only do I LOVE what I do but I also do it well.

The creation of ANTICIPATION began after I presented READY to my label the first time. I just started recording on my days off and the music felt great and decided that I'd rather share the music than let it sit and be idle. This is music without politics, without creative boundaries.

Troy (my mentor and founder & CEO of Songbook Ent.) and I have been making music since I was 15. There was a time when thoughts of monotonous melodies or redundant choruses wasn't THE KEY to making a hit record. Music that just felt good. Although they're present at times the boundaries are endless in this body of work, giving you a (1) realization in advance to READY.

What do I mean by READY? Well, lets do this one more time.Read⋅y [red-ee] –adjective1. completely prepared or in fit condition for immediate action or useAre you READY? I like to say don't get READY...STAY READY!!! But until then...Here is ANTICIPATION..."

No one cannot tell me that this man is not real. He is so passionate about his music and it shows. He is so articulate...I wonder if he still needs a girl...lol

Allow Me To Re-introduce Myself

The video is hot! I'm glad he cut his hair, and doing it in the video made it classic! The cinematography is amazing with the city skyline. Jay and his classic Blue Yankee....at 39 this man still has it....these 20something year old's need to step it up, Jay is putting them to shame!

Spread My Wings and Fly Away

Beyonce's new video "Broken Hearted Girl"

I love this song. It may be my favorite on the "I Am...." disc. Its definitely in my Top 5 favorite Beyonce songs along with "Flaws and All" and "Dangerously In Love" It puts me in a mood where I reminisce about the good, bad, and ugly. About where I've been and where I never want to be again. What female wants a broken heart? Although it happens to the best of us, no one wants to "play that part." We learn through our experiences and realize that we are WORTH SO MUCH MORE!!! SO FELLAS, treat your lady right, if it doesn't work out fine, but don't break her heart, be mature about the situation and communicate! That always work!

Its Good For My Ego...

Beyonce's "Ego" video feat. Kanye West

I must admit, Kanye does add a little extra flavor, but I envisioned this video to be totally different. The video doesn't get me hype like when I'm listening to the song in my car. Ehhh oh well. Still a great track
*Sidebar* What's up with the new growth on a wig..for real though Bey? You my girl and all, but you couldn't get that touched up lol

Soon As I See Him Walk Up In the Club Imma Flirt

Flirting 101
Do Flirt with Your Eyes
Flirting with your eyes is one of the easiest ways to test if a guy is into you.

DO act gracefully
Subtle indications you’re attracted to someone are the most effective ways to let him know. There’s no harm in flirting with someone who doesn’t reciprocate, but being able to bow out gracefully is of the utmost importance.

DO remember to smile
Happy is in! Mysterious is out.
Smiling at him is an oldie but goodie. Your self-confident look will always get him.
Don't Come on too strong
Outrageous pickup lines and jaw-dropping displays of sexuality are almost always a DON’T. By making overtly sexual comments, you’ll quickly get categorized as nothing more than a hookup. Pretending to have more fun than you actually are counts as overdoing it, so keep the hair-tossing and forced laughter to a minimum. “It looks weird and desperate.”

DO act your age
Be confident in who you are. Don’t dumb yourself down by giggling at everything he says or asking questions you already know the answers to.“A real man wants a real woman, not an adolescent. And a woman who flirts like a little girl comes off as desperate and needy.

DO take charge
Seriously, what do you have to lose? By taking charge, you are making it clear that you’re interested. Take the conversation where you want it to go. If you expect him to call, give him your number. But if you want to call him, demand his number.

DON’T limit your flirting to face time.
Make flirting a virtual reality. If you see a single guy on your friend’s Facebook page, have her ‘friend’ suggest you with a cute little note. You can also try following him on Twitter. Respond to some of his posts with thoughtful messages and helpful links.DON’T ask him out on Twitter—ever.” That’ll take you from cutie to creepy in less than 140 characters.
DON’T shy away from physical contact.
Making physical contact is a foolproof way to show your interest, but proceed with caution. Use light touches to the arms, shoulders and legs to clearly communicate your interest. Physical flirting is hard to misread, and your light touches give him the confidence he needs to take it to the next level. But if you want a guy to get to know you, don’t get too physical too fast.
Ladies is this accurate? Do you agree with these rules of flirting?
